Quality is the name of the game
We are pleased to announce the upcoming launch of our new quality improvement cohort program for Ontario’s child and youth mental health sector in partnership with Children’s Mental Health Ontario (CMHO).
Quest is a quality improvement (QI) program based on the Lean Six Sigma methodology. Care pathways will be the focus for this round of projects. Selected teams will be coached through an improvement project with a potential for system-level impact, while building organizational capacity for QI and building a culture of continuous quality improvement within their organization. The program will involve in-person and virtual group learning sessions, along with tailored, individual QI coaching. Quest will be offered free of charge to participating organizations, and cohort team members will be provided with Lean Six Sigma yellow belt training and certification. Participating organizations will also be receiving a small grant to support their engagement in the program.
The application process will open on September 17, 2019. The cohort program will run for 12 months beginning in early 2020, followed by four months of support focused on sustainability, scalability, spread and knowledge mobilization. Visit this page often for updates, webinars and application documents!
Who should apply
Any Ontario Ministry of Health-funded child and youth mental health provider (core service provider or lead agency) will be eligible to apply for Quest, as long as they are not currently receiving other external funding for the proposed quality improvement project, including funding from the Centre.
Commitment to francophone stakeholders
All in-agency and in-community activities and coaching can be conducted and facilitated in French (coaching, facilitation, interviews with stakeholders, etc.) — relating both to quality improvement and data analysis — and our designated bilingual QI specialist and data analyst as well as other Centre staff will be on hand to support the full participation of francophones.
